The EBENEKEN (Paramount Ruler and the Occupier of the "OGBO" Chieftancy Stool) is the Chief Executive of the Onopa Community.The Ebeneken-in-Council is the highest decision making body.Decision taken by the the Ebeneken-in-Council is thereafter ratified in a general meeting of the community and become binding on its citizenry.
Next in command is the Family Chiefs (Ebeni-Ipele) who sits with the Ebeneken to deliberate traditional matters.
The Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Youth Body form the next stratum.These are the Executive Arm of the Community who carries out the day to day activities of the community on the instruction and the supervision of the Ebeneken or the APALAMO-EBENEKEN (Deputy Paramount Ruler) in the absence of the Ebeneken.
